Yan Chai Hospital Annual Charity Ball 2026

The Yan Chai Hospital Annual Charity Ball 2026 was successfully held on 6 March 2026. The event was officiated by Mr. Clement Woo Kin-man, MH, JP, Acting Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, and chaired by Ms. Law Wing-yee, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee. Mr. Clement Woo and Mr. Chu Tak-wing, chairman of the 58th Board of Directors of Yan Chai Hospital, presented a commemorative gift to Mrs. Cazes.

We were deeply honoured by the presence of the Château Lynch-Bages family, long-time supporters of the charity ball. For 17 consecutive years, they have stood alongside Yan Chai in advancing education with generosity and dedication.

Our school shares a unique bond with Château Lynch-Bages, owing to the phonetic connection between “Lynch-Bages” and our school name “Lan Chi Pat”. Through the vision of Mr. Jean-Michel Cazes, the Sino-French Student Exchange Programme with St. Jean College Pauillac was established in 2007. Since then, generations of LCP students have been given the invaluable opportunity to experience French culture, broadening their horizons and nurturing a global outlook. The Cazes family’s unwavering car has made this partnership especially meaningful.

Despite of busy schedule, the Cazes family personally received our teachers and students during their visits to France each year. They guided them through the vineyard and gardens, introduced them to local culture, history and winemaking, enabling students to learn and grow through cultural experiences. In turn, members of the Cazes family have also visited our school, participating in anniversary celebrations, officiating ceremonies, attending lessons and engaging warmly with teachers and students, showing genuine care for their learning and well-being. Their sincerity and dedication have always felt like family.

At the ball, I was delighted to welcome Mrs. Cazes alongside Supervisor Mr. Fung Cheuk-nang and Ms. Yung King-miu, and to present her with a student-designed Fai Chun, beautifully rendered through UV printing, as a token of our heartfelt blessing. Their enduring support continues to inspire and enrich our students’ learning journeys beyond borders.
